Making our Helmets

Wow - talk about calm and enjoyable! And no mess, can you believe it?

Ummmm....as it happened there was a lot of mess but at least we have made a start on our costumes. Room 15 worked hard on getting flour and water all over their clothes and Mr Smith kept getting the giggles as it looked as though some children thought they were meant to paper maiche themselves instead of the balloons. Oh well, another day in the madhouse that is Cave 15. Back to writing and mathematics tomorrow - at least that way we all leave school very happy!

This photo was taken before any of the mess. You can still see that the table is green!

At least the girls only used a little bit of the 'glue'. We are hoping that the boys helmets start drying by next term!!

A quick break to read the newspaper. Good efforts today Jonathan.

Our Special Visitor - Mr Seelye

Mr Seelye came and showed us some of the robots they have at Massey University. He talked to us about the various ways robots can help us and how they are being used. We also watched some short videos.

 - Mr Seelye had different types of robots (Claudia)
 - Our favourite was the walking robots - it could do flips and handstands (Jonathan)
 - There were different types of robot - one could spin around in circles and one could walk (Logan)
